At Elevation Hope, our mission is to empower individuals, families, and communities to lead healthy, resilient, and purpose-driven lives. We believe that holistic well-being, community empowerment, and strategic interventions are key to addressing the challenges facing our nation.
Elevation Hope is more than a nonprofit. It is a manifestation of a vision—a future where our communities are healthy, whole, and free.
And at the heart of everything we do are the seven principles of Nguzo Saba, guiding us towards collective healing, empowerment, and transformation.
1. Umoja (Unity) – We must come together as a people, recognizing that our strength is in our collective power.
2. Kujichagulia (Self-Determination) – We must define our own futures, tell our own stories, and take ownership of our paths.
3. Ujima (Collective Work and Responsibility) –We must hold each other up, knowing that the struggles of one is the struggles of all.
4. Ujamaa (Cooperative Economics) – We must invest in ourselves, supporting Black-owned businesses and local economies.
5. Nia (Purpose) – We must live with intention, ensuring that every action contributes to the legacy we leave behind.
6. Kuumba (Creativity) – We must build solutions that are bold, innovative, and deeply rooted in cultural healing.
7. Imani (Faith) – We must trust in our people, our resilience, and our ability to transform our own communities.
These principles are not just words—they are the foundation of every program at Elevation Hope.
Our programs align with our commitment to Making All America Healthy At-Last (MAAHA), fostering physical, mental, and community well-being through education, advocacy, and action.
Each program below is designed to enhance lives, strengthen communities, and
promote a culture of resilience and healing.
